Occupational Therapy

Building motor skills, sensory regulation and independence in daily life.

Occupational therapy helps children participate in the everyday activities of childhood: dressing, eating, writing, playing and learning. Our OTs address fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, motor planning, visual perception and self-care independence.

Who needs it

  • Poor handwriting or pencil grip
  • Sensory seeking or sensory avoiding behaviour
  • Clumsiness and frequent falls
  • Difficulty with dressing, feeding or toileting

What we do

  • Swing, climbing and obstacle circuits
  • Play dough, beads and tweezer games
  • Heavy work and proprioceptive input
  • Buttoning, zipping and pouring practice
